Forever With Him
I Thessalonians 4:16-18

I Thessalonians 4:16-18 gives us powerful prophetic words, For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Jesus Christ will return, and the church will be caught away! We will meet the Lord in the clouds and in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we will be changed. From that moment on, we will always be with the Lord.

Maybe you are going through a rough patch right now. If so, let me remind you that this earthly life is a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. But we have eternity in store. Thank God we will ever be with the Lord!

If He tarries and we die before He returns, we get to go to heaven. But I have a feeling, with the way things are shaping up, that we will be the generation that sees His return. Have you noticed how the eyes of the world are on the Middle East? This is all end times stuff. Also, one of the things that Jesus said would be a precursor to the end is that the Gospel of the Kingdom would be preached to every nation, literally, to every language group.

And you know what? That will be completed in our generation. So keep your eyes fixed on His return, and that day you will meet Him in the air and be with Him forever!

For Your Information

Yesterday we continued our series called Kaleo which is a Greek word that means called. The first week we looked at how God calls us to a life of care and compassion. Yesterday we looked into the aspect that we are Called To Generosity from II Corinthians 8. We saw that the key is our heart. As Jesus says in Matthew 6:21, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. This message will be on the website for those who wish to listen to it. Next week we continue with Called To Serve as we will study I Samuel 17. This is a very challenging series, and I pray that you will come, listen, and apply what we learn.

For the months of January, February and March, we will not be having our Sunday Night Bible Studies. In lieu of this service we are encouraging our Men and Women to join the Bible Studies that will be going on throughout the week.
The ladies have been meeting on Sunday nights at 6 PM at various homes. The ladies are going through a book entitled, Becoming More Than Just A Good Bible Study Girl by Lysa Terkeurst.
Likewise, the men are having their study on Saturdays at 9:30 AM. The men are going through Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders.
If you missed signing up for this or are interested in joining, it’s not too late to join. Please see Pamela Bish for the ladies, and Pastor Robinson for the men. We pray and hope to see you involved in these studies. It is a great source of fellowship and study.

On Saturday, March 5, our church went to the city mission in Washington. There were a great number of people who were able to be there. Thank you to all of our workers and especially to Rick Paterni and Gloria Kelly who headed this event. Thank you to all who cooked and baked. It was a great and blessed day for those who were there.
